During the Durga Puja celebrations in Bangladesh on Wednesday, violence broke out between two communities, killing at least five people and injuring dozens of others.
During the tragic and terrible episode, miscreants stormed the Durga Puja Pandals, destroying the goddess Durga’s idols and killing and injuring people.
On Friday, the Bangladesh ISKCON temple in Noakhali district was also attacked. According to the Dhaka Times, the crowd allegedly trashed Hindu shops and residences during a march in Noakhali’s Begumganj Upazila, citing Superintendent of Police (Circle Begumganj) Md Shah Imran.
Vrajendra Nandan Das, the national communication director of Iskcon, urged the Bangladeshi government on Saturday to take stern action against the murders of Iskcon devotees and the vandalism of temples so that such incidents do not occur in the future.

Meanwhile, ISKCON Bangladesh has appealed for international assistance to safeguard Bangladesh’s Hindus. In a tweet, the ISKCON released a photo of the brutally assaulted victims, it urged to save Hindus in Bangladesh tagging US Ambassy Bangladesh, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and other International communities.
