
A horrific incident occurred in Jordan’s southern port in the city of Aqaba when a chlorine gas explosion led to 12 dead and injured more than 250 people authorities said that a tank that fell from a crane released a poisonous yellow cloud.
The harrowing footage was captured near the port showing the large cylinder, said to have been carrying about 30 tonnes of gas, plunging from a crane on a moored vessel and violently releasing the chlorine gas cloud.

The city has been announced by the Aqaba Health Department, Dr. Jamal Obeidat, a local health official, urged people to stay inside and close windows and doors. The nearest residential area is 25 kilometers (15 miles) away. More than 200 people were hospitalized.
