TVS Motor Signs Agreement With Tata Power: To develop EV ecosystem.

TVS Motor Company on Tuesday announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Tata Power to create an electric two-wheeler charging infrastructure in the country.

As a part of the pact, the two companies have agreed to drive the comprehensive implementation of electric charging stations across India and deploy solar power technologies at TVS Motor locations.

The partnership aims to create a large dedicated electric two-wheeler charging infrastructure to accelerate electric mobility in India.

The agreement will give the customers of TVS iQube Electric access to the charging network of Tata Power, said TVS Motor in a statement.

  “Our partnership will substantially enhance customer convenience through world-class fast-charging solutions. Fitting to TVS Motor’s vision of electrification, we envisage a wide and reliable charging infrastructure for two and three-wheeler EV customers across India” said Sudarshan Venu, joint managing director of TVS MOTORS.

“Through this collaboration, we will further leverage our expertise to enhance synergy between sustainable mobility and renewable energy integration resulting in the creation of a robust EV charging eco-system across India.” -said, Praveer Sinha, chief executive officer, and managing director, Tata Power.

The iQube is priced at Rs 1,00,777 in Delhi and at Rs 1,10,506 in Bengaluru. The e-scooter comes with a 4.4 kW (6 bhp) electric motor and the top speed is around 78 kmph, in ‘Sport’ mode. The battery can be fully charged in around 5 hours, and the maximum range is claimed at 75 km on a single charge.
