TMC Leader’s Car Attacked in Tripura; ‘Political Terrorism’ claims TMC

Sushmita Dev, a member of the Trinamool Congress her vehicle was vandalized today in Tripura. The incident harmed some employees of a private firm that is assisting Ms. Dev’s party in electoral campaigning. Ms. Dev, who is in charge of the Trinamool Congress’s efforts in Tripura, claimed that the BJP was responsible for the attack.
When the attack occurred, Ms. Dev was with the staff of the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC), a political public relations and consulting organization, as per reports.
“Around 1:30 p.m., Sushmita Dev and ten other TMC party workers were violently attacked by workers from the Bharatiya Janata Party in Amtali Bazar. Vehicles were vandalized, TMC members were physically assaulted, and female party workers’ modesty was insulted “In a complaint to the police, the Trinamool Congress stated.

Under Tripura’s Biplab Deb government, the BJP is breaking new ground in terms of targeting opponents, according to Trinamool Congress general secretary and MP Abhishek Banerjee. He further called the attack shameful and a political terrorism.
