From the time the Taliban took over Afghanistan, the residents said that the Taliban are settling their people in these houses. Residents say they are struggling financially due to the recent rise in prices of essential items and can’t even afford food for themselves.
The protesters demanded that the Kandahar authorities stop harassing them in one name or another.
It is also said that some people have build houses on the government land in Firqa (Division area) between 1st and 13th District for the last 3 to 4 decades and living there. these numbers were increased last 20 years.
