Mizoram reports 725 new covid positive cases in the last 24 hours which raised the total to 29,020 cases so far, an official said on Wednesday.
Out of the 725 new cases, 111 were detected during rendom testing drive in six localities within Aizwal Municipal Corporation (AMC) area, the official said.
647 cases were detected through Rapid Antigen Test and 44 cases were confirmed through RT-PCR test in the labrotary of Zoram Medical College (ZMC).
From 725 new cases more than 138 children are being infected by the virus.
The covid death toll has reached 126 in the state. The state has tested over 5.69 lakh samples including 4,530 in the last 24 hours.
The positivity rate has raised to 16% from 10.85% on Tuesday in the State.
The State immunization Officer Dr. Lalzawmi informed that more than 6.11 lakh people are vaccinated against Covid-19.
