After receiving sickening rape threats to his nine-month-old kid because he spoke out in support of teammate Mohammed Shami following India’s defeat to Pakistan in the ongoing T20 World Cup, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has tweeted a message of solidarity to Virat Kohli, India’s cricket captain.
A user with the Twitter handles ‘Amena @criccrazygirl’ threatened to rape Kohli’s daughter in a now-deleted message. @criccrazygirl has recently been identified as a Pakistani bot account.

” Virat, Nobody loves these people, therefore they are filled with rage. Please pardon them. Mr. Gandhi tweeted on Tuesday evening, “Protect the team.”
The Delhi Commission for Women filed a notice to the Delhi Police Department earlier today, requesting “action taken” updates on the investigation into the stomach-churning and horrible threats made against Kohli’s daughter.
The threats made against Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma’s daughter were “extremely disgraceful,” according to DCW Chairperson.
