Following yesterday’s rally by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Meghalaya’s capital city. Protests against Bangladesh’s recent communal violence continued in Tripura and other northeastern regions on Thursday as well, with the CPI-M and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) pressing the Dhaka administration to preserve minorities’ lives and property, as well as their religious institutions.
According to reports, a VHP delegation met with Bangladesh Assistant High Commissioner (AHC) in Agartala, Mohammad Jobayed Hosen, on Thursday and urged him to ask the Dhaka government to take action against those responsible for the violence that erupted last week after a series of attacks on Hindu temples, Durga Puja Pandals, and Hindu people across the country.
