Police Seized Huge Quantity of Explosives in Ri-Bhoi District Meghalaya

Based on intelligence, the Ri Bhoi Police seized a large number of explosive devices on Sunday. Gelatin oil and detonators were discovered hidden underground by unknown criminals.

According to sources, 139 gelatin oil and 27 detonators were recovered from a place in Ri Bhoi’s Pilangkata Police Outpost, Nongspung Killing.

Meanwhile, authorities are on the lookout for the criminals responsible for the explosive devices’ concealment.

“The gelatin oils and sticks were hidden inside a culvert,” stated Nazarious Lamare, the district police chief of Ri-bhoi District.

Despite the fact that no one has been apprehended, police have filed a case under several sections of the IPC and the Explosive Act.
