In Noida, an infant is killed after being mauled by a dog

A seven-month-old kid who was mauled by a stray dog within an upscale group housing development here died on Tuesday, according to a society spokesperson. The event occurred around 4.30 p.m. on Monday inside the Lotus Boulevard society in Sector 100, according to Dharam Vir Yadav, a spokesperson of the society’s residents group. “The boy was mauled by a stray dog on Monday evening, and he was admitted to a private hospital where doctors operated on him, but he died late last night,” Yadav told PTI.
He stated that the police have been notified and are now taking action. Earlier on Monday, Rajneesh Verma, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Noida 1), stated that the child was critically injured in the incident. “The child’s parents are construction workers; both were involved in construction work within the society and had kept the youngster close to them; nevertheless, a stray dog entered the society and bit the child, leaving him gravely injured,” Verma told PTI.
He stated that the infant was promptly transferred to a nearby private hospital, where he died following treatment. The ACP stated that there has been no complaint with the police because it is a stray dog, but they have alerted authorities involved to apprehend such animals. According to sources, the local police department filed a general diary case in the matter on Tuesday.
