NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede has links with BJP; Alleges Maharastra Minister

Shortly after NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede firmly denied allegations of extortion and his purported trip to Dubai, Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik revealed ‘evidence’ to support his assertions on Thursday.

Yasmeen Wankhede’s ‘travel to Dubai’ in December 2020 was documented by the NCP senior leader and spokesman, who shared screenshots of her images on Twitter. Despite denying it, Nawab Malik alleged that Sameer Wankhade was with his sister at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai on December 10, 2020, based on images.

Nawab Malik should give evidence to back up the extortion charges, according to the NCB official. “To use the word “extortion” against a government official is a terrible word, and he should have proof before addressing such a serious problem. Is going on a trip with my family, on the other hand, extortion? Hearing this from a well-respected minister is disturbing “Wankhede stated.

Nawab Malik said on Thursday that the NCB and the Bharatiya Janata Party are running an “extortion racket” in the city, just days after alleging links between the two parties. The NCP Spokesperson sought a court investigation of all matters investigated by the anti-drug agency over the past year, claiming that the agency is bringing “bogus” lawsuits against people. He also requested that NCB officer Sameer Wankhede’s phone and WhatsApp communications be probed to see if he has any ties to the saffron party.

Last Monday, the Special NDPS Court granted bail to Nawab Nawab Malik’s son-in-law Sameer Khan in connection with a drug case. Sameer Khan was charged with selling, obtaining, purchasing, and shipping 194.6 kg of illicit drugs and six CBD sprays, as well as funding the drug trade.
