Mukesh Ambani Resigns As Director of Reliance Jio, Akash Ambani Named as New Chairman

Mukesh Ambani will step down as the company’s director as of June 27th, according to a statement made on Tuesday by Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, the digital subsidiary of Reliance Industries.

The company announced that it had chosen Akash Ambani, a non-executive director and Ambani’s son, to serve as board chairman.

For a term of five years beginning on June 27, 2022, Jio appointed Raminder Singh Gujral and K V Chowdary as directors. The company’s new managing director, Pankaj Mohan Pawar, will start on June 27.

Jio Platforms is an Indian technology business that was founded in 2019 and is fully owned by RIL.
