Minor raped victim found hanging in a tree in Uttar Pradesh

In a heinous incident occurred in Uttar Pradesh when a body of a juvenile rape victim was discovered hanging from a tree in the sugarcane fields near her home in Amroha district in Uttar Pradesh.

On Sunday, the event occurred in Ikona village, which is part of the Adampur police circle.

The 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped on September 25 by Monu Sharma, a resident of the same area, according to the police.

The girl’s family submitted a report shortly after the occurrence, and police filed a case under the relevant provisions of the IPC and the POCSO Act, but no arrests could be made because the suspect was still at large.

Police have failed to apprehend Monu Sharma, according to the deceased’s family, and he is free to move around. They further claimed that after he assaulted the girl, he intimidated and threatened her and her family. He also compelled them to drop the rape charge. After the alleged rape, family members said they approached the police, but no action was done against the accused.

The girl’s body was discovered hanging from a tree in a sugarcane field about 100 yards from the settlement on Sunday morning. A farmer discovered the body, which led to the discovery of the incident.

A new murder case has been filed against him by the police. The victim’s body was taken for autopsy.
