
TMC has begun expanding its party in Tripura and Assam following its success in West Bengal’s assembly elections, and its sights are now set on Goa. Several leaders of the Goa Congress Trinamool Congress (Trinamool Congress West Bengal CM and TMC supremo Mamta Banerjee will go on a five-day visit to Goa on October 28 to meet with party leaders and plan the party’s expansion strategy in Goa before the assembly elections next year (Goa assembly elections)
Ulhas Wasankar, the leader of the North Goa Congress Seva Dal, joined the TMC on Wednesday alongside his supporters and other social workers. Priya Rathod, the former General Secretary of the Congress Women’s Wing, has also joined the Trinamool Congress. Luizhino Faleiro, the former Chief Minister of Goa and a former Congress politician had previously joined the TMC.
Many prominent political leaders in Goa have recently switched to TMC.
Mamata Banarjee has also been working hard to establish her party in northeast India’s Assam and Tripura.
However, it was previously reported that Mukul Sangma, the former Chief Minister of Meghalaya, was planning to join the TMC. However, the reports have yet to be validated.
