India administered record 1 crore Vaccine doses given in a single day

India administered record today by giving 1,00,64,032 vaccine doses under its Nationwide Vaccination drive. This is the highest ever vaccination achieved in a single day since the start of the vaccination drive. In another significant achievement, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed 62 crores (62,09,43,580) landmark milestone as per the 7 pm provisional report today.

Vaccination figure of 96.34 lakh doses as of 8 pm and is set to hit the landmark of One Crore vaccinations for the first time by the end of the day which it ultimately did by the end of the day. Uttar Pradesh leading with 25 lakhs vaccination today. 

The present week of August has recorded the highest vaccination with 15 crore doses given to date. However, July recorded 13.45 crore doses of vaccination followed by 11.97 crore doses in June 2021.

According to a government senior official who said, “We expect to end August administering a record 17 crore plus doses. September could see 20 crore plus doses administered”.

However, it has been administered that the present week of August 21st till 27th has been recorded to be the highest vaccination week so far with over 4.5 crore vaccine doses given to people.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh, Maharastra, and Madhya Pradesh have been recorded the maximum doses of vaccination given to people this month. While UP has recorded almost 2.15 crore doses, MP administered 1.3 doses followed by Maharastra 1.1 crore doses in August till date.

Has been administered nearly 10 crore doses of vaccine shots were given to the age group between 18-44 years. Nearly 11 crores out of the 15 crore doses given were first doses, which explains the government’s focus is going ahead on the second dose to eligible people.

India on Thursday completed administering at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to half its eligible adult population, as it crossed 61.10 crore cumulative vaccinations across the country.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya shared the message with immense pride and joy. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this achievement.
