Farmers protest : Supreme court issues notice to 43 farm leaders .

The supreme court on Monday issued notice to 43 leaders of various farmer organisation, including Rakesh Taikat , Yogendra Yadav . Who have been protesting the three farm laws at Delhi – NCR border since Nov, 2020.

As the centre & concerned states couldn’t be successful to end the blockade of roads at Delhi borders by farm unions protesting against the three agriculture laws , the supreme court on Monday decided to issue notice to farm organisation as pleaded by the Haryana government.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta , representing Haryana government contended that the state has constituted a committee to hold talks , but the protesting leaders had refused to come for the meeting.

Mr Mehta told a bench of justice Sanjay Kishan kaul and MM Sundresh that an application has been field by the state to implead 43 organizations in the petition field by Noida -based women for removal of road blockade on Delhi borders.

The court had earlier asked the centre to find out a solution to the road blockade which is creating inconvenience for people for a long time by the agitatiors . It had asked solicitor General Tushar Mehta to explore the solution in consultation with UP and Haryana government.

The supreme court last year ruled out that authorities in future should not permit protests which ends in blocking of roads and public spaces and said such protests should be organized at designated places without causing inconvenience to the general public.
