Eknath Shinde to Take Oath As Maharashtra Chief Minister Today; Devendra Fadnavis to Stay Out of Govt.

Eknath Shinde, the rebel Shiv Sena leader, will take the oath of office as the chief minister of Maharashtra today, according to BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis. “We will have a cabinet expansion after today’s swearing-in event, and Shiv Sena and BJP leaders will take the oath.” The former Maharashtra chief minister, Fadnavis, declared, “I will stay out of government.”
Shiv Sena MLAs demanded that the alliance with Congress and the NCP be broken, but Uddhav Thackeray overlooked them and gave precedence to the MVA alliance partners, thus these MLAs became more vocal, according to Fadnavis. Fadnavis also criticised the Shiv Sena for joining forces with the NCP and the Congress following the BJP’s dissolution in 2019. He claimed that the Shiv Sena “chose to form an alliance with people against whom Balasaheb protested throughout his life.”
