
Former Prime Minister of India and well-known economist Manmohan Singh, who was admitted to Delhi AIIMS when his health deteriorated, has been diagnosed with dengue fever, but his condition is improving and he is no longer in danger, according to an AIIMS official.
According to the official, the former Prime Minister’s “platelets are multiplying and he is no longer in danger.”
After complaining of fever and weakness, the veteran Congress politician was brought to the AIIMS on Wednesday evening.
Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, also visited him and inquired about his health.
The former Prime Minister is being treated by a team of specialists led by Nitish Nayak, a well-known cardiologist.
He had a fever three days prior and had been feeling weak, so he was brought to AIIMS.
In April of this year, during the second wave of the epidemic, the former PM tested positive for Covid-19 and was admitted to the AIIMS, where he was successful in fighting the virus.
