The 13- and 8-year-old brothers who were kidnapped from Bhiwadi in Rajasthan’s Alwar district on October 15 were discovered dead in New Delhi on Tuesday, while their third sibling was freed a day after their captors sought an 8 lakh rupee ransom.
Mahaveer Teli and Manjha Khushwa were identified as the kidnappers by police superintendent (Bhiwadi) Shantanu Kumar Singh, who also stated that they are being held. He stated that the third boy, who is 7 years old, has been taken to a children’s home in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi.
Singh claimed that on Monday, the kidnappers called Gyan Singhwer, the boys’ father who is a vegetable dealer, and demanded 8 lakh. When the two started sobbing, the abductors killed them and discarded their bodies.
Using the mobile number they used to contact for the ransom, Singh claimed they were able to identify the suspect on Monday night. The accused initially admitted to killing the kids and dumping their remains in a bush behind the Qutub Minar Metro Station. The two kids’ bodies were discovered by a police squad.
“It has been discovered that the accused are drug users. Singh said the accused sliced the throats of the two boys and added they were awaiting their postmortem findings. One of them owns a small shop, and the other works at a factory. The matter is the subject of more investigation.
Chandhan Chowdhary, deputy commissioner (south) of the Delhi Police, claimed that they were made aware of the kidnapping after their counterparts in Rajasthan had filed a case.
