Assam Man held for Supporting Udaipur Kanhaiya Lal’s Brutal Murder

According to police, a man was detained in the Hailakandi district of Assam for allegedly encouraging the brutal murder of the tailor in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Samsul Laskar, a local of Katlicherra, was detained for reportedly supporting the assassination in a comment on a social networking platform.

After Milan Das, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in Hailakandi, filed a police complaint, Laskar was detained on Thursday (June 30), and a case was filed against him under many IPC sections and the strict Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

According to the police, Das accused Laskar of posting the comment on a blog post by Abu Choudhury, who requested the death penalty for those responsible for the tailor Kanhaiya Lal’s murder.
