The judicial custody of eight defendants, including Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant, was extended by a special NDPS court on Thursday until October 30, 2021, according to sources.
The accused were not physically present in court, but they appeared through video conference shortly after the Bombay High Court scheduled Aryan Khan’s bail hearing for October 26.
Soon after meeting his father Shahrukh Khan in Arthur Jail on Thursday morning for the first time after he was detained, the 23-year-old Aryan was transferred to a special egg-shaped cell.
Following the WhatsApp chat obtained, the special NDPS Court dismissed Aryan Khan’s bail application on Wednesday, claiming that the accused is involved in illicit drug activities and has communication with drug peddlers.
