14 people sustained injuries after a portion of the under-construction flyover bridge collapsed in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex early Friday morning.
According to a fire brigade official, the incident was reported at 4.40 am. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital.
“A portion of an under-construction flyover connecting BKC main road and Santacruz–Chembur Link Road collapsed around 4.30 am. Thirteen people have sustained minor injuries and have been .. shifted to a hospital. There is no loss of life and no person is missing,” said Manjunath Singe, DCP (ZoneB).
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) further stated that a total of 14 persons are injured. However, the condition of all the injured people is stable.
